Why is news/updates Mod/Admin only?

I don't think any forum area should be restricted to normal forum-ers.. It's stupid, pointless, and really is annoying. I can't comment on AG's news about how he's depressed? Seriously? I suggest you make none of the sub-forums admin/mod only.

And? That's stupid. That pretty much means I can't share my news or updates at all, and that's the proper sub-forum for news/updates.

P.S. You pretty much repeated what I said in the OP.

The reason we have them blocked is because we don't want the portal spammed. I suppose I could turn them on and see, so I will.

My point is, I don't just want people posting in the News and Updates: OMG I GOT A DIAMOND BLOCK GUYS, etc. But we'll see how it goes!

News and Updates can now be posted in by ALL users.
